Thomas R. Martin, born May 3, 1921, died January 10, 2010, husband of Renee Martin, wife 61 years, she died August 11, 2009. He is survived by his son, William Martin, daughter in law, Janet Martin, and his two grandchildren, Christopher and Caroline Martin all of Pomfret, CT.  He ran his own house painting business in Greenwich, CT for 30 years and retired to Hendersonville, NC, until recently.  Thomas served in World War II in the 129th Airborne Engineers Battalion as a demolition specialist.  He will be remembered as a kind, generous, and good-hearted man, a loyal friend, a loving husband, and a wonderful father and grandfather.
