Theresa LaRochelle, 86, formerly of Cundall Street, Brooklyn, CT, died Friday evening at the Villa Maria Nursing Home in Plainfield. She was the wife of the late Leo J. LaRochelle, they were married November 23, 1946, he died October 31, 1988.

She was born June 26, 1924 in Woonsocket, RI, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Anna (Dufresne) Broudeur. She attended Sacred Heart School in Wauregan. She was last employed at Superwinch in Putnam. She had also worked at Acme Cotton in East Killingly, and LaRosa in Danielson. She worked as a seamstress at the former Gant Shirt Factory and at American Thread Company. She devoted her life to caring for her family, a communicant of St. James Church in Danielson. Theresa enjoyed sewing and crocheting and did a lot of work for her family and friends.

She leaves her children Robert LaRochelle of Brooklyn, CT; Dennis LaRochelle of Hickory, NC; Janice Loiselle of Central Village; Shirley LaRochelle of Brooklyn, CT; her sister Bernadette Billings of Danielson, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday, August 2, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT.
