Arthur Maurice St. Jean September 9, 1947 - August 12, 2010 Woodstock - Arthur Maurice St. Jean, 62, of 1619 Route 171, Woodstock, died unexpectedly Thursday, August 12th. He was born September 9th, 1947 in Putnam; the eldest child of Maurice St. Jean and Marguerite (Renaud) St. Jean. He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate Linda (Johnson) St. Jean; son Jason St. Jean of Linwood, New Jersey and his wife Jennifer; step daughters Jennifer Harris, Angela Withers and her fiancée Steve Nowakowski; mother Marguerite St. Jean of Brooklyn; sisters Mary Corey of Killingly, Leona Mainville of Brooklyn, Gail St. Jean of Brooklyn, and Doreen Berube of Killingly; grandchildren Samantha, Allison, Sebastian, Madison, Elijah, and Laura; great grandson Jason; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by his father Maurice St. Jean of Brooklyn. Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam from 1966 through 1969 earning a Bronze Star, a Bronze Star with V Device, and a Purple Heart. He worked several years at Builders Village in Killingly, and several more in the facilities department of Crabtree & Evelyn in Woodstock. In his free time he was an avid fisherman and bird-watcher. No Calling Hours. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, on Tuesday, August 17th at 10 AM.
