Michael J. Grassl, 55, of Pomfret Center, CT, died Thursday, December 8, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Kimberly (Vigue) Grassl. He was born June 2, 1956 in Putnam, son of Joseph and Marguerite (Deloge) Grassl of Danielson.

Michael was a truck driver for Willimantic Waste for the last 6 years, he had worked for 5 years, as Assistant Seafood Manager for Big Y in Mansfield. He attended Killingly Schools, Michael enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, gardening, cooking and riding his Harley. Michael was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan.

He leaves his wife Kimberly, his father and mother Joseph and Marguerite, a brother Mark Grassl and his wife Cathy of Sterling, two sisters Joann Pasquerella of Pomfret Center, Debra Gasiorek  and her husband MSG John of Pomfret Center, a step daughter Tiffiny Mckusick and her husband Dean of Fort Myers Beach, FL, grandchildren Lukas, Larhamie and Layah, a niece Jessica Grassl, four nephews Christopher Pasquerella, Joey Guilmette , Kyle Pasquerella, A1C Brandon Gasiorek,  brothers-in-law Keith Vigue of Ashford; Kevin Vigue Mansfield, sister-in-law Kristin Leblanc and her husband Jerry of Hebron. He was predeceased by his brother Jay Grassl in 2008.
