Richard J. Plante, 63, of Woodstock, died Friday evening Oakwood Nursing Center in Webster, MA. He was born March 30, 1948 in Putnam, CT, son of Mary (Lariviere) Planet and the late Ernest J. Plante.

Richard worked for the Town of Putnam Highway department for many years and also worked as a machine operator at Pallflex in Putnam.  He had made his home in Putnam most of his life. He enjoyed fishing and later in life playing video games. 

He leaves his mother Mary of Putnam, his sons: Jeffrey of RI; Christopher of CT and Patrick of CT; his sister Linda Bellerive of Putnam; two granddaughters and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline (Racine) Plante and a brother Ernest Plante.
