Florence J. Weigand

November 1, 1918-January 18, 2012

Danielson- Florence J. Weigand, 93, of Quinebaug Dr., passed away on Wednesday, at Windham Hospital in Willimantic, CT, surrounded by loved ones. She was the wife of the late Lewis R. Weigand, they were married on May 4, 1946 in St. Rose Church, Girard, Ohio. Daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny Pishkur.

Florence retired from Rogers Corp. in Rogers CT. Florence was very active in the community where she was a lifelong member of St. James Church. Florence loved to cook and bake and was an avid fan of UCONN Basketball, along with the love of watching her granddaughter Lindsey play soccer, basketball and loved to watch her great grandson Lucien Aka "Little Dube" play football.

She leaves behind her children: daughter Jeaneen Cloutier and son Randy Weigand; granddaughters Bridget Giaquinto and husband Robert, Marisa Cloutier, Lindsey Weigand and great grandsons; Lucien Dube and the newest member to our family Parker Trask Bessette, her brother; Eddie Pishkur and wife Marian of Florida. Florence was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Rudy, Al and Willie of Ohio, and sister Millie Vasilik of California. Grandma was a very fun loving and caring lady and will be missed by all.

Funeral Services will be Monday January 23, 2012 at 9:15 from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, CT followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin St. Danielson, CT. Calling hours Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
