Obituary of Elizabeth Iafrate

Elizabeth Manchester Iafrate, 63, of Dayville, passed away on July 30, 2015, at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of Pastor Frank Iafrate of Garden City Baptist Church, Dayville. CT. She was born April 12, 1952 in Pawtucket, RI. She was the daughter of the late Albert S. Manchester and the late Dorothy (Bauer) Manchester, and the sister of the late James Manchester. She is survived by her stepson Frank Iafrate, Jr. and his wife Lisa, and her two grandchildren, Kenneth Iafrate and Gisele Iafrate. She is also survived by seven sisters and brothers, Diane Manchester, Mary Abbott (Harry), William Manchester (Patricia), Karen Pontrelli (David), David Manchester, Lisa Leonard (Ron), and Catherine Rickert (Spencer). Elizabeth was a graduate of Seekonk High School in 1970. She worked for many years at Norton Company, currently Honeywell, in Cranston, RI. She was known for her unwavering faith, her charitable works, and her kindness to all. She was a lover of animals, especially horses. She adored her many nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with her large family. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 4, at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 350 Hartford Pike, Dayville, CT. Share a memory at gagnonandcostellofh.com
