Obituary of Gary James Peltier

Gary James Peltier, 60, of Oxford, MA, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s, he was surrounded by his family. He was born May 14, 1955, in Worcester, MA. Gary was predeceased by his mother, Mary Brucoli Peltier of the Bronx, NY, and his father, Gerard Peltier of Fiskdale, MA. He leaves his children, Christopher Peltier of Cheshire, CT, Geraldine Giordani and her husband JR of Maine, sisters, Susan DiPietro and her husband David, of Oxford, MA, Melissa Ford of Oxford, MA, Michelle Macaruso of Hubbardston, MA, Godson, Anthony “Antman” Navedo, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Predeceased by a grandson Christopher Peltier, he passed away October 2014. Gary was a Veteran with the United States Navy, he served in Vietnam, Operation Urgent Fury and Desert Storm. He retired after 22 years in the Navy. He loved the ocean, traveling, was an avid golfer, enjoyed music and Karaoke with his family. He was a loving father and grandfather. A special thank you to Nurse Paulette Hallihan from Hospice and Dr. Michael Christakis from the VA Hospital. Calling hours will be Saturday, November 21, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Burial will be in the Spring with Military Honors.
