Obituary of Mary Ellen Lewis

Mary Ellen (Smith) Lewis, 89, of Putnam Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Wife of the late George F. Lewis, Sr., he died in 1998. She was born on August 17, 1928 in Killingly, CT, daughter of the late Kanley Ames Smith and Elizabeth E. (Killday) Smith.

She worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at Lewis Auto Body and had previously worked as a telephone operator.

She is survived by her son George F. Lewis Jr. and his wife Cherrie of Hampton, CT; her former son-in-law Normand Perron; her grandchildren Tara Perron and her companion Michael Hoover of Putnam, CT; Nicholas Perron and his wife Jessica of Framingham, MA; Derek Lewis of Pascoag RI; Ryan Lewis of Littleton, CO; Kaitlyn Kress and her husband Brandon of Littleton, CO; Tyler Danks and his wife Colleen of Cranston, RI; her great grandchildren Joshua Belleville and Zachary Belleville of Putnam, CT; Josephine Perron of Framingham, MA. She was predeceased by her husband George F. Lewis Sr., her daughter Bonnie Perron of Putnam CT. and daughter Kimberly Lewis of Woodstock CT.
