Obituary of Mildred D. Aurilio

Mildred D. Aurilio, age93, formerly of Eastford Road, Eastford, died Thursday morning at the ST Joseph Living Center in Windham where she had made her home. She was the wife of the late Frank L. Aurilio, he died in 1993. She was born October 8, 1911 in Munson, Maine, daughter of the late Griffeth and Agnes (Reed) Davis. She was employed for over twenty years at Buells Greenhouses in Eastford. She had a great love for flowers. She had made her home in Eastford for over 63 years and was a long time member of the Eastford Senior Citizens. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She always looked forward to opening her summer home on Crystal Pond in Eastford and spending her summers gardening. She leaves a son: Frank Aurilio and his wifeAlice of Swansboro, NC; three daughters: Nancy White and her husband Frederick of Brooklyn; Joan Merrill and her husband Robert of Taylors, SC; Edith Lacey of Hartford; two grandchildren: Timothy Merrill of NC; Frederick White, Jr of Groton; four great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson: Bruce Merrill in 1983; and a sister: Nellie Grube. The Funeral will be Monday at 12:00 Noon at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home 148 Grove Street, Putnam. A calling hour will be Monday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Burial in Grove Cemetery, Eastford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Eastford Independent Fire Company, P.O.
