Obituary of Norman H. Fontaine

Norman H. Fontaine, 79, of Woodstock, CT, died Sunday afternoon Nov. 6, 2005 at Pierce Memorial Baptist Home in Brooklyn, CT. He was born July 27, 1926 in Claremont, NH, the son of Ernest and Bernice (Howe) Fontaine. Norm served with the Army Air Force in Italy during World War II, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He married Beverly Mae Parker in Brownsville, VT on June 5, 1949. Norms career was dedicated to supplying equipment to the plastics molding industry through his own company, PECO, of North Grosvenor Dale, CT. After retirement, he spent many years pursuing his passion for woodworking at Brunarhans Design in Woodstock, CT, as well as enjoying his vacations on Marco Island, FL. Besides his wife and mother, Norm is survived by his three children: Nancy Pritchard and her husband Bill of Woodstock, CT; Gary Fontaine and his wife Lee of Woodstock, CT; and Wendy Lary and her husband Ed of Pomfret Center, CT. Norm is also survived by eight grandchildren: Julie Drouin and her husband Dave, Lacey Pritchard, Jessica Fontaine, Shawn Fontaine, Amy Schoettler and her husband Matt, Katie Rondeau, Bryan Lary and his wife Kelly St. Vrain, and Heather Lary; and four great-grandchildren: Adam and Nathan Drouin; and Hannah and Brianna Lary. Private services for the family will be held this week in Woodstock, CT. Burial will be in the family plot in Brownsville, VT.
