Barbara Ann Keith, age 80, of Hurlbut Street, Putnam, died Friday at the Westview Nursing Center in Dayville, she was the wife of the late Richard C. Keith. She was born February 23, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Jordan) Wilcox. She was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Middletown, class of 1942, and a graduate of Middlesex Hospital School of Nursing, class of 1945.Barbara was a Registered Nurse working at Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Pierce Baptist Home and Norcliffe Rest Home, both in Brooklyn. She also worked as a School Nurse at the Rectory School in Pomfret and the Thompson School. She had made her home in Putnam for the last 34 years and the last four months at the Westview Nursing Center. She attended the Christ Episcopal Church in Pomfret. She leaves a son John Keith and his wife Maureen of East Killingly, a brother Richard Wilcox of Mystic, two grandchildren Emily Keith and Sarah Keith, both of East Killingly, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Thomas Wilcox. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Middletown.
