Arthur “Archie” G. Lewis, 76 of Woodstock died Friday, March 29, 2013 in Myrtle Beach, SC, while visiting his daughter. Born April 26, 1936 in Putnam, son of Joseph and Winifred Lewis. He was a truck driver and retired DOT state worker, as well as many other jobs from a Farmer to Deputy Fire Chief of the Killingly Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Muddy Brook Fire Department and a security guard. He loved fishing and many outdoor activities. He is survived by daughters: Donna Marie Fenner and husband Joe; Linda Lee Bonneville and husband Todd; son: Keith Wayne Lewis and wife Lisa; grandchildren: Shane and wife Pam, Jacob and wife Brandy, Mark and wife Tina, Matthew and wife Megan, Jason, Tyler, Ashley, Cassie, Megan, Adam Stacy and Chris; great grandchildren: Kyla, Autumn, Brittany, Jacob, Autumn, Selena, Kadence, Ishmeal, Benjamin, Ryan and Sydney, his siblings: Francis Lewis of Killingly, Joseph Lewis of Killingly, Robert Lewis of Worcester MA, Bertha Sullivan of Ohio, Merry Rhault of Plainfield, Maybel Pearson of Putnam. He was predeceased by wife Mildred Rose Lewis and son Glenn David Lewis Calling Hours will be Thursday, April 4, 2013 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Northeastern CT Relay For Life, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3450. Private burial in New Cemetery, Scotland.
