Pauline Y. Geissler, 90, formerly of Freedly Road Pomfret, died Thursday morning at the Westview Nursing Center in Dayville where she had made her home for several years. She the wife of the late Earl James Geissler, he died in 1997. Pauline was born March 17, 1914 in Putnam, daughter of the late Ovila and Marie (Lamont) Vadnais. Pauline was employed for over 34 years at the former Belding Hemingway Mill in Putnam, she retired in 1976. She had made her home in Pomfret most of her life, a communicant of Most Holy Trinity Church in Pomfret. Pauline was a long time member of AARP. She was predeceased by eight sisters and her step-son, she leaves several nieces. A mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM in Most Holy Trinity Church, Route 169 & 44, Pomfret, CT. No calling hours. Burial in ST Mary Cemetery Putnam following cremation. Smith & Walker Funeral Home 148 Grove Street, Putnam is directing the arrangements. www.smithandwalkerfh.com
