Sincere condolences to Mrs. Slattery. I have always respected her as Mrs. Slattery, while I was a teachers aid and then as her Substitute Teacher. Her shoes were then and always will be hard to fill. She was very passionate about teaching. She wanted her students to engage in life with gusto! She inspired me to teach with enthusiasm and I believe she passed her inspirational light onto her students. Rest In Peace....Lucy, your flame of wisdom will carry on with all those that you touched.
(Just found out.....sorry for the delay in responding.)
Hugs, Sandy Montie

My sincere condolences. Mrs. Slattery was my 3rd grade teacher. She use to take upholstery classes with my mom Jean. Sometimes I would go and sit and listen to the mom’s gab. She was a mom and friend those nights and I am glad to have known her that way as a child instead of her just being my teacher. Really nice lady. ☮️&❤️
