Scott Wolchesky

Obituary of Scott Evan Wolchesky

Scott Evan Wolchesky, 53 of Route 74, Willington, died unexpectedly, Monday, June 9, 2025, at his home. Born on October 25, 1971, in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the youngest of three sons, born to the late John and Elizabeth (Donlon) Wolchesky.  Scott’s death was preceded by that of his older brother, Steven Craig Wolchesky, on April 16, 2018. He leaves his eldest brother, John Mark Wolchesky, of Pomfret, CT.

Scott resided in Willington and graduated from Windham High School in 1989. He was involved with many sports growing up. He starred in soccer for Windham High School and later for Eastern Connecticut University. He also enjoyed golf with friends and could be counted on to provide enthusiasm and laughs for everyone. Scott also enjoyed attending and watching sports, rooting for the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics, and his beloved Dallas Cowboys.

Scott worked several jobs throughout his life, most recently he was employed at Willington Termite & Pest Control. He liked his customers, and several of his regulars became his friends. Scott enjoyed wildlife and nature, and he left food out for the various animals that his trail cameras allowed him to observe in his yard.

Scott was the kind of person who was always willing to help others. Known for his dry sense of humor, he could certainly evoke laughter among his friends. He was extremely charismatic, and people who met him were attracted to his charm, honesty, and laid-back attitude. The difference between his acquaintances and friends was whether you liked him or loved him; they all enjoyed being around him and getting a full dose of humor and fun. He is already sorely missed. Our memories of Scott will not be forgotten.
