I never met Irene or William, but they were part of our lives for many years. They faithfully delivered our newspaper each day on a bumpy, slippery dirt road in all kinds of weather. It was a comforting ritual for me to walk down the driveway and take the paper from the paper box. In winter, I would see tire tracks in the snow where William had driven in so Irene could set the paper in the box, and then backed out to move on to the next stop. All this was done before sun-up on dark winter mornings! They hardly ever missed a day, only in the worst of weather.
Many thanks to both Irene and William for their long, dependable service. Our thoughts are with William and his family at this difficult time in their lives.
