Obituary of Scott LaPointe

Scott H. LaPointe, 53, originally of Thompson, CT passed away unexpectedly at the home he shared with his fiancé Kelli by his side in Putnam, CT on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. Scott was born in Putnam on September 22, 1971, son of John H. and Ann L. (Campbell) LaPointe. Scott graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in 1989. Shortly after graduating Scott decided to serve his country in the United States Airforce. He proudly served as a Military Police Officer during Desert Storm and was honorably discharged in 1994. Following his military service, Scott worked for Fidelity as a Finance Manager and put his heart into everything that he did. Scott had a big heart and loved life fully, one of his greatest accomplishments was his three daughters whom he loved dearly. Scott reunited with his High School sweetheart Kelli, and they loved each other dearly. It truly was a beautiful thing to witness.

He will always be remembered for having a wonderful sense of humor and wore his heart on his sleeve. Scott enjoyed going to car shows with his father, an avid Boston Bruins and Patriots Fan. He also enjoyed cooking, especially for those he loved most. Scott will be missed by all who he created beautiful relationship with and will be thought of fondly.

He leaves his parents John and Ann LaPointe of Thompson, daughters Kelli, Maggie and Trinity LaPointe of Brockton, MA , his Fiancée Kelli Kaliszewski of Putnam, brother Glenn LaPointe and his partner Taryn of Woodstock, nephew Stephen and niece Samantha LaPointe both of Ashford, aunts Gloria Comtois of Danielson and Gail McClellan of Putnam, CT ,and several cousins, and  good friends Marvin and Rita Kalfin of Stoughton, MA.  Scott was predeceased by his grandparents and his baby sister Kelly Jeanne.

A Mass of Christian Burial will Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT. A calling hour will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT, burial to follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Putnam.
