Heidi Ross posted a condolence

Dear John, Laura, Meghan and Nathan, we moved from Connecticut five years ago and are living in North Carolina. Periodically, I read obituaries and just learned that Marie had passed away. She was a very dear lady and an excellent nurse. We knew her both from church and from Pierce. I served as the handbell choir director many, many years ago, where I encountered Marie, and I crossed paths with her again in my low vision work seeing some of her patients. My dad spent time at Pierce and again Marie was just a Godsend. She truly left a legacy of love and caring and we are so sorry for her loss. Keeping you all close in prayer.

John, Laura, Meghan, Nathan. My deepest sympathies to you all and the rest of the O'Keefe family. I am so glad she was a part of my life. Always ready to help anyone. I loved talking with her at all our parties, holidays, and picnics. She will be missed by many. Another angel to watch over us. May your treasured memories of the good times you had together help you through your time of sorrow. Fly Nana fly high and pain free as you watch over all of us. Love, Maria and Joey

I worked at Pierce Baptist when Marie was the Director of Nursing. She was a kind, thoughtful and generous woman, and an excellent example for all of the nursing staff. Condolences to her family and friends. Elaine Hall

I had the unique privilege of calling Marie my sister, my mother, my friend. She always took good care of me. I don’t know what I’ll do without her. But now I’ll have to figure it out. . I’m already thinking “I have to call my sister “ when I want to share something funny or ask for advice.
We had such fun on our mini trips to Hampton Beach (don’t ask about The Hampton Playhouse!). And our trips to Boston to go to RedSox games. When in Boston we would go to The Union Oyster House for lunch. It is the oldest continuous restaurant in the country. My sister told me about how our parents loved going there. It brought a connection to them for us.
My sister was a wonderful aunt to my boys. In her nursing capacity she was with me when they were born.
All in all I was blessed to have her in my life. I will always miss you darlin’
I have attached pics of the 3 sibs along with our mom and dad and on their wedding day. This way you can see where we got our good looks from!! Lol
