I enjoy Norm‘s company on and off the field. After our softball games we would gather at the lake Tavern to celebrate win or lose. My wife enjoyed his paintings. She would go to his gallery and look at them quite often. She actually bought two of them one of them is in his book My Maine about the coast of Maine the other is just whimsical autumn peace up on Allen Hill Road A man’s clothing stuffed with leaves and hanging in the tree. He was always a joy to be around Bob and Peggy Higgins from Pomfret. My condolences to his entire very large family.

Norm was such a great down to earth guy. Everyone that knew him liked him. My family attended Faith Bible Church with his. Sam and my son Eric were both about 4 or 5 years old and were buddies. I have a picture that Norm drew of Eric on pink construction paper with a blue crayon (it was done during Sunday School).

I had the great honor of sharing a morning with Norman a few years ago over coffee at Zips. His stories about growing up in Danielson and the lake were both entertaining and poignant. My family will forever treasure his beautiful print of Alexander’s Lake. With sincere condolences to all who loved him.
