Obituary of Thomas Edward Caffrey, IV

Thomas E. Caffrey, IV, 57, of Windham, CT passed away January 2, 2026 in Mansfield, CT. He was born December 28, 1968 in Putnam, CT, son of Thomas E. Caffrey, III and June (Kamuda) Vivigatz. He was the beloved husband of Judith Chabot.

Thomas was a very talented artist and painter. He could always make people laugh and he was a selfless person that would help anyone. Thomas was an avid KISS fan and enjoyed playing the guitar. He loved to restore guitars and vehicles. He was part owner of Tom’s Auto Body Shop with his father in Brooklyn, CT.

He leaves his wife Judith Chabot of Windham, CT; his son Nathaniel T. Caffrey and his fiancé Jennifer Burdick of Brooklyn, CT; his mother June Vivigatz and her husband Pete of Plainfield; his father Thomas E. Caffrey, III of Dayville, CT; his step daughters Brittney Soto and her husband Joshua of Tennessee and Jessica Chabot of Rhode Island; his sister Tammy Castagna and her husband Emil of Hampton, CT.
