Obituary of Robert J. Larose

Robert J. Larose, 73, of Eastford, passed away on February 3, 2026, with family by his side. He was born April 17, 1952, the son of the late Leo Larose Sr. and Albertine Larose (Gomes).

Robert enjoyed racing, tinkering around the house, and spending time with his friends and family. He was predeceased by his loving wife Cheryl A. Larose, married April 19, 2003.

They spent 21 joyful years together prior to Cheryl's passing in 2024. He leaves behind two stepchildren, Kelly Percy and Chester Thayer IV (Linda), both of Eastford, and both whom he loved and treated as his own. In addition, he leaves behind grandchildren Kiana Bloomingburgh (Tim), Kyle Percy (Kaylee), Josh and Julie Parker; Great Granddaughter Luna; Brother Ernie (Deb) Larose; many aunts, uncles, and extended family. He was predeceased by his brother Leo Larose Jr.

Robert grew up in Thompson and graduated from Tourtellotte Memorial High School in 1970. He went on to work at Numa Tool Company for 46 years, prior to his retirement in 2021. He also worked at Thompson Speedway for several decades.

The family would like to thank the staff at Day Kimball Hospice, Oncology, and Medical Group for their wonderful care provided to Robert.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 13, 2026 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Funeral to follow at 5:00 PM.
