Willie Bousquet, Retired Putnam Recreation Director
Betty was an inspiration and leader in bringing cultural experiences to Northeast CT.
It was an honor to have her be a supporter of many projects throughout my career.
She will be remembered for her desire to make Northeast Ct the best place to live.
Putnam will be forever grateful.

Betty was one of the first community leaders I met when assuming the presidency of Quinebaug Valley Community College some 35 years ago. She was incredibly welcoming and supportive and over time I witnessed the impact she had on the entire NE CT community. I became friends with Laurence and Jane and believe they and their family were indeed blessed by her longevity. She is a model for those of us aging to continue to be active contributors to the community. My condolences. Dianne E. Williams

I met Betty years ago through Tourism efforts. We clicked and discovered by chance we both spent time in Antigua that overlapped. Of course we met up there several times and enjoyed the talks about so many things enhanced by the differences in age and life experiences. She was a force and contributor in so many ways and loved her “Quiet Corner “. I always felt like I learned something as I reflected on our times together. Her influence will remain in ways appreciated by many. She did more than her share. My condolences to her family and closest friends.

To the Hale Family so very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. She was a remarkable lady. If you met her for the first time at an event, by the end of the day you were her friend for life. Thank you for sharing Betty with us. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very sad time.
