Obituary of Jacqueline Landry

Jacqueline “Jackie” Landry, 84, of Dayville, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Living Center in Windham, Connecticut. She was born on August 17, 1941, in New York, New York, the daughter of the late Herve and Florence (Paul) Saucier. Jackie was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Charles Landry, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, family, and cherished memories.

Jackie dedicated much of her life to her church and community. She faithfully served for many years as a Eucharistic Minister at both St. Ignatius Church in Rogers and St. Joseph Church in Dayville. She was also a familiar and hardworking presence at Knights of Columbus fundraising events, especially during Lent, where she volunteered countless hours at the Friday night Fish Fry dinners.

Jackie worked for many years as a secretary at Danielson Curtain and later in life as a cook for TVCCA Meals-on-Wheels, where she enjoyed caring for others through her work. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and strong sense of family and community.

Jackie and her husband, Ronnie, shared a love of travel. Together, they enjoyed summer vacations on Cape Cod and were devoted Boston Red Sox fans, making trips to Boston and Baltimore to cheer on their team. Jackie also loved spending time with friends playing cards at St. Joseph Hall and enjoyed many fun-filled visits to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.

Above all else, Jackie was a devoted mother and grandmother who took immense pride in her family. She treasured every moment spent with her sons and grandchildren, whose lives were enriched by her love, warmth, and support.

Jackie is survived by her sons, Jeff Landry and his wife, Ina, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Rob Landry and his wife, Michelle, of Merrimack, New Hampshire; and Joel Landry and his wife, Madiley, of Andover, Connecticut; her cherished grandchildren, Jack, Dillon, Jake, Kate, and Kyle; her brother, JP Saucier, and his wife, Paula; her sister-in-law, Betsy Saucier; her brother-in-law, Thomas Landry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, David Saucier and Richard Saucier.
