Obituary of Adele R. Staplins

Adele R. Staplins, 90, of Putnam Connecticut passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Day Kimball Hospital Putnam, CT.

She was born August 17, 1935. Daughter of the late Joseph E. Tetreault and Rita (Alarie) Tetreault.

She was the beloved wife of James H. Staplins who predeceased her on January 13, 2020. They were married on April 18, 1960 in Saint Mary’s Church in Putnam, CT.

Adele was a stay at home mom. She was tiny but mighty. She enjoyed gardening, camping  and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She leaves her son James  J. Staplins his wife Darlene of Pomfret Center, CT; her daughter Denise Staplins of Coventry, CT; her grandchildren, Eric Staplins and his wife Lindsey, of Pomfret Center, CT, Amanda Bernard and her husband Daryl of Thompson, CT, Angela Dipasqual and her husband Josh of Pomfret Center, CT and Andrea Bernier of Chaplin, CT; her great grandchildren Savana, Axton, MacKenzie and Ryder; her sister Lucille Dumas; her niece Cheryl Stadig and her nephew Dale Dumas.

She was predeceased by her grandson Christopher M. Staplins.
