Obituary of Brian DeVries

Brian DeVries, 70, of East Woodstock, CT, passed away at home on July 26, 2026. Born on July 30, 1955, in Putnam, CT, he was the son of the late Burton and Barbara (Brown) DeVries.

Brian had a lifelong love of cars, motorcycles, and all things automotive. He worked as a driver for Scotty’s Towing and enjoyed spending time at motorcycle races, scrambles, and other motorsports events. Through LDA Marketing, he proudly sponsored riders and supported the racing community.

Brian is survived by his sister, Brenda Chaplis and her husband, Robert; his two stepdaughters and grand stepdaughters; and his niece and nephew.

A private graveside service will be held at Central Cemetery in Woodstock, CT.
