Obituary of Elizabeth Lyon

Elizabeth Lyon, 90, of Sabin Street, Putnam died Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at home. She was the wife of the late Paul M. Lyon; he died January 10, 1981. She was born February 2, 1919 in Worcester, MA, daughter of the late Leon and Jennie (Twiss) Steele. She was a member of the Putnam Baptist Church. She had worked at Danielson Curtain. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping and crafting, and most of all spending time with her family. She leaves two daughters: Helen Ida Lyon of Ruslin, FL; three foster daughters: Rose Stryczek of Nixa, MO; Beverly Plasse of Norwich, Ida Perkins of Danielson, two grandchildren: Ellen and Aaron; foster grandchildren: Rebecca; Brandon; Andrew; Heather; foster great grandchildren: Ty; Haley; Mia, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by all of her siblings: George, Earl, Robert, Henry, Edward, and Dorothy. The Funeral Service will be Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam. Calling Hours Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
