Obituary of Ruby V. Lang

Ruby V. Lang, age 93, formerly of Sherrill, Lee Center, New York, Thompson, Connecticut and the Alterra Clare Bridge Cottages passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon November 1, 2009 in the Presbyterian Home of Central New York with her loving son at her side. Ruby was born on May 19, 1916 in Augusta, New York the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Davis) Vanderlan. She was a graduate of Sherrill High School and Nyack College. On December 31, 1939 in Kenwood Alliance Church Ruby and Rev. George Lang were united in marriage and shared this loving union until Rev. Lang's death on January 7, 2007. Prior to her retirement in 1986 Ruby was the director of volunteers at the Day Kimball Hospital in Putnam, Connecticut. In her spare time she gave freely of her time volunteering and being the Pastor's wife. She leaves her son, Pete Lang of Lee Center, New York; nieces, Barbara Desito and Tina Vanderlan, nephews, John and Nate Vanderlan and many dear friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Kirkland Cemetery, French Road, Kirkland, New York with Pastor Kurt Johnson officiating.
