Obituary of Thomas Henry Gagnon

Thomas Henry Gagnon April 7th, 1929 - December 10th, 2009 Thomas H. Gagnon, 80, of Danielson, CT, died at Regency Heights Nursing Home, Danielson, surrounded by his loving family. Thomas was the son of Winifred and Henry Gagnon of Millinocket, ME. Tom graduated from Stearns High School and Gorham State Teacher's College, class of 1951. Tom served 2 years in the U.S. Army, then he taught in Colebrook, CT and Granby, CT for 28 years retiring in 1983. He enjoyed wintering in Florida and RV traveling. Tom leaves a son T. Geoffrey Gagnon of Southwick, MA; daughter Elaine and husband David of Fremont, NC; daughter Nancy and husband Jeffrey of Boulder, CO; a brother James and his wife Doris of Pomfret, CT; sister-in-law, Phyllis Baker of Camden, ME; grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and good friend Addie Hoyt. Tom was preceded in death by former wife Alice Baker, son Mark Allen, brother-in-law Albert Baker, and a special friend Julie Kruzel. A service celebrating Tom's life will be held at Smith & Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT on Saturday (TODAY) December 12th at 10:30 AM. The family extends their grateful appreciation to all staff for their loving care during Tom's stay at the Regency.
