Cecile J. Lapointe, 96, of Putnam, died Tuesday December 15, 2009 at Regency Heights in Danielson. She was born October 27, 1913 in Dudley, MA, daughter of the late Albert and Marie Louise Alarie. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Lapointe. She worked at Stevens Linen and Sandlerette Shoes, enjoyed travel, cooking and sewing. She leaves her sons: Gerald and Richard Lapointe of Putnam, grandsons, Stephen of Pomfret, John of Putnam and great grandson Dustin Curtis. She was predeceased by her grandson Michael, three sisters and seven brothers. Calling hours are Friday from 9:30 to10:30 AM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam followed by an 11:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial, St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam.
