Obituary of Simone Cecile Pare

Simone Cecile (Beaudoin) Pare, 87, formerly of Westfield Village, Danielson, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010 surrounded by her loving children at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Beloved wife of the late Phillip Pare, they were married September 6, 1947 in St. James Church in Danielson, he died February 26, 1976 after 29 years of marriage. She was born February 17, 1923 in Putnam, daughter of the late Joseph and Odena (Pelletier) Beaudoin. Simone was a lifelong resident of Danielson, a graduate of St. James Grammar School and Killingly High School. She was a long time employee of various textile firms in Danielson area, was employed for many years for the Danco Corp. and also as a receptionist and volunteer for the Quinebaug Valley Senior Citizens Center in Brooklyn . A lifelong communicant of St. James Church in Danielson and enjoyed spending time and being with her family. She is survived by her three children Phyllis (Pare) Guimont and her husband Raymond of Guilford, CT; Claire Pare of Plainfield; Roger Pare and his wife Betsy of Franklin, MA. She had five grandchildren, Laurie (Guimont) Carroll and her husband Ron of Durham, CT; Scott Guimont and his wife Angela of Trumbull, CT; Lisa (Guimont) Moyer and her husband Brenden of Needham, MA; Jeffrey Pare of Franklin, MA and Kelley Pare of Franklin, MA. She was also the proud great grandmother to Emily and Sean Carroll; Brooke and Samantha Guimont and Paige Moyer. She was predeceased by her brother Maurice Beaudoin and sister Lucille (Beaudoin) Spaulding. The Funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson with a 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. Calling Hours Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
