Obituary of Jeannette Clemens

Putnam- Jeannette Clemens, 85, of Munyan Road, Putnam, died Friday, September 10, 2010 at Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. Beloved wife of Robert F. Clemens, they were married November 16, 1946. She was born December 19, 1924, in Putnam, daughter of Ovila and Donalda (Brouillard) Gosselin. She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of the Visitation. Throughout her life her first priorities were wife and mother, she also held several secretarial positions, most importantly being secretary of R.F. Clemens and Sons, Inc. She was active in community organizations, for many years she led the 4-H Stitchers and Bakers. She was a member of the Putnam Grange, AARP and the West Thompson Cemetery Association. Her enjoyments included her loving family, with their many functions and gatherings, traveling with her husband visiting all 50 states, mostly in their motorhome. She loved dancing and her love of music was an inspiration to many. Jeannette was a pancreatic cancer survivor in 2001 and courageously battled ovarian cancer. She leaves her children Linda Picciarelli and her husband Vincent of Danielson, Robert Clemens and his wife Cora of Putnam, Roxanne Swidrak and her husband John of Lebanon, Mark Clemens and his wife Bette of Putnam, nine grandchildren, Maryann Picciarelli, Amy Jankins and her husband Brian, Heather Picciarelli and her husband Bounti Phommachanh, Mindy Diamantopoulos and her husband Christopher, Tami Stein and her husband, Nathan, Lori Clemens, Ryan Clemens and his wife Sarah, Leslie Brothers and her husband Shaun, Michael Swidrak and his wife Kimberly, eleven great grandchildren, Ashley, Kayla, Emma, Evan, Ella, Cash, Dylan, Jayden, Abigail, Lucas, Courtney, sister Pauline Woodis, sister-in-law Ethel Parker and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Lorraine Richmond. The Funeral will be Monday at 12: 15 PM from the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM at St. Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam. Calling hours Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial in West Thompson Cemetery.
