Obituary of Mildred Seifert

Mildred Seifert, 90, formerly of Abington, CT, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011 with her daughter Sherry and granddaughter Megan at her side at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Center, Wilmington, MA. She was the wife of the late Robert Seifert; he died November 13, 1993. She was born April 1, 1920 in Mansfield, CT, daughter of Frank and Gladys (Hall) Paine. Mildred made her home in the Abington section of Pomfret, CT most of her life, moving to Wilmington in 2007. She was a long time member of the Abington Congregational Church and the Grange. She enjoyed reading, cooking and working in her yard. She leaves her daughter Sherry Jones of Reading, MA her granddaughter Megan Jones of Reading, MA, granddaughters Lori Coleman and her husband Jim of Burlington, MA, Linda Johnson and her husband Mike of Hollis, NH, her siblings Ruth Seifert of Pomfret, Emma Ellsworth of Abington, Lois Molnar of Ashford, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Howard, Frank, Maurice, Gladys and Oliver and a son-in-law Dick Jones. Funeral Service will be Tuesday March 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Abington Congregational Church, 542 Hampton Road (Rt 97), Abington, CT. Calling Hours Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. Burial in the spring in Abington Cemetery.
