Obituary of Lewis T. Partington
Lewis T. Partington, 85, of Putnam CT, formerly from Sudbury, MA, died February, 27, 2013. Husband of the late Josephine [Vanderspurt] Partington. Born in Methuen July 15,1927 he lived and worked in Massachusetts until retirement and lived in Putnam CT for almost 23 years.
He proudly served in the Coast Guard in WW II in Alaska. He worked as a carpenter before opening his own hardware store. He managed an Aubuchon Hardware store for many years, and later worked as Foundry Foreman at Nuclear Metals in Concord. He and his wife enjoyed motor home travel, and many outdoor activities.
He is survived by his children, Margaret Munson of Franklin, Ruth Callahan of Shirley, Andrew Partington of Brandon VT, Donald Partington of Lake Tapps WA, and David Partington of Putnam CT. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the New Town Cemetery, Sudbury, MA. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Hospice and Palliative Care of Northeast CT, 320 Pomfret St., Putnam CT.
