Obituary of Arlene A. Stahecki
Danielson -Arlene Stahecki passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 24, 2009, at UMASS Memorial after a long struggle with heart disease with her loving family by her side. The beloved wife of Peter Stahecki, Jr. She was born March 1, 1926 in Killingly a daughter of the late Wilfred and Blanche Caron.
Arlene was employed for many years at Inter Royal, Arrow Hart, and retired from Lydal in 1990. She was a member of St. James Church. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting and was an avid walker. She also enjoyed her annual trips to York Beach, ME. Arlene was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Peter of 62 years, a daughter, Deborah Tourangeau and her husband Paul of Brooklyn; two special grandchildren, Justin Tourangeau of Brooklyn, CT and Holly Stahecki of Quinebaug, CT, a special sister, Anita Shippee of Maple Court and a brother Wilfred Caron, Jr., and his wife Lucy of Danielson, two sisters-in-law, Mildred Hebert of Dayville, CT and Sophie Holbrook of Palmer, MA. She also leaves behind her godchild, Pam Lloyd of Webster, MA and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Armand Caron and Arthur Caron.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 10:00 AM in St. James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson, CT. No Calling Hours. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. James Church, 12 Franklin Church, Danielson, CT 06239.
