Obituary of Allen W. Bourdia
Allen W. Bourdia, 53, of South Frontage Road, Danielson, died unexpectedly at home, Monday, June 29, 2009, as a result of an accident. Husband of Rita (Bomster) Bourdia, they were married July 1, 1990. He was born June 10, 1956 in Putnam, son of Joan (LaFontaine) Bourdia of Danielson and the late Lionel Bourdia.
Allen worked as a machine operator at Loos and Company in Pomfret for the last twenty two years. He had made his home on South Frontage Road for the past year, moving from Hartford Pike in Dayville. He and his wife operated a Tee Shirt Business at area fairs for eighteen years. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, spending time with his family and friends.
He leaves in addition to his wife Rita and his mother Joan; a daughter: Judith Sherman and her husband Thomas of Moosup; a sister: Debra Diaz of Webster, MA; a brother: Randy Bourdia of Danielson; step-daughters: Melissa Clark; Jennifer Buell both of Moosup; seven grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 AM from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at ST James Church, 12 Franklin Street, Danielson.
