Josephine M. Latour, 94, formerly of Church Street, Putnam, died Sunday July 5, 2009 at the Matulaitis Nursing Home in Putnam. She was the beloved wife of the William Latour, he died in 1965. She was born August 7, 1914 in Putnam, daughter of the late John and Mary Gucwa. She worked at Belding in Putnam for many years. She had made her home in Putnam all her life, a communicant of ST Mary of the Visitation Church in Putnam, and a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was a hard worker and a loving and caring mother and grandmother, she always had time for her family. She leaves her children: Jeanne Poirier of Putnam; Raul Latour and his wife Aspasia of Thompson; Joe Latour and his wife Connie of Putnam, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, William and a granddaughter, Cindy. Funeral Service will be Thursday, July 9, 2009 at 9:45 AM from the Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in ST Mary Church of the Visitation, 218 Providence Street, Putnam, CT.
