Dawn Ferland was a kind and giving person. Even before we met she always thought about me, sending me gifts and asking Becky how I was doing.
I loved the fact that I felt like I knew her even before we met that Easter she came down to Texas.

Mrs. Ferland was a great and wonderful lady that wanted to see students do the best they could do in the SpecialEd. program at Ellis Tech. She helped me get in to the school and also helped me learn on a faster leavel of learning. She was always there to help those that really needed the help. I will always remember her kind heart and suport that she gave me when I needed it.

Words alone cannot express my sadness over the loss of a dear friend and colleague. Dawn will always be remembered as one of my favorite "scrapbooking buddies" where she enjoyed sharing stories and pictures of her family and pets. Your smile and positive attitude will be missed. May you find eternal rest and peace.

It was an honor and a source of inspiration, learning and genuine pleasure to have worked with Dawn in my occasional visits to Ellis Tech. Her devotion to her students, concerns for her colleagues and her professional integrity were an example and blessing for all who were close to her. Her love for her family, above all, shown through in her conversations with me - her eyes lighting up with the mention of their names.

Dawn's pride in her children and excitement at learning she would be a grandmother will be remembered fondly; she loved them dearly and the last time we saw her she had her grand-daughter on her lap and Moses at her side. How fitting she should be surrounded by the ones she loved the most.

To Dawns family, I am sorry for your loss. I was one of the fortunate ones that had the experience of working with and learning from Dawn. She truly cared for the people with disabilites she worked with. The world has lost a great caring person. Grace Newton, Hanover, Ct.

My thoughts and memories of my sweet cousin Dawn reflect of our childhood together. We were always into something that Aunt Ruth would have to reprimand us. But the times were always good. She will always be in my thoughts forever. May God Rest Her Soul/ Love you very much Patty

John and family, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. Although Dawn and I have not been in touch for many years, I still remember what a great help she was to me when your children were in the Sunshine Corner Preschool. Such a generous lady.
