Obituary of Larry E. Rawson

Larry Rawson, 56, of Nogal, New Mexico, died Friday evening July 31,2009 in the mountains of Nogal due to a four wheeler accident. Larry was born January 14, 1953 in Putnam, CT to Blanche and Richard Rawson. He graduated from Putnam High School and then went on to forestry school at Paul Smiths in the Adirondacks of New York. He then went to H.H. Ellis Technical School in Danielson, CT. He moved on to create a business of his own called L.E. Rawson Electrical Supply as well as a John Deere dealership in Thompson, CT. He then made a decision to move to Ruidoso, NM where he made a living working as a carpenter. Larry loved the outdoors and the Mountains of New Mexico where he called home for 15 years. Larry is survived by a daughter, Caitlin E. Rawson of Herkimer, NY, his parents Blanche and Richard Rawson of Thompson, and two brothers, Alan and wife Kathleen Rawson of Putnam, and James and wife Donna Rawson of Thompson, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his good friend Marvin and wife Norma Roberts of Nogal, NM. Larry will be sorely missed by his family and friends. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, August 8, 2009, at 1:00 PM at Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam, CT. To share a memory, "Light a Candle" at www.smithandwalkerfh.com
