Yvonne B. Wrubel, 85, of Putnam, formerly of Noank, CT, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Wrubel. She was born February 9, 1924 in Mystic, CT, daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Brown) Noyes. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a loving mother and had a passion for cooking for her family. She leaves two daughters Janet Hill of Putnam, Susan Normandeau of Union, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Celia. Services will be private and burial at a later date in Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic, CT. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of NE CT, PO Box 632, Putnam, CT 06260. Arrangements by Smith and Walker Funeral Home, 148 Grove Street, Putnam.
