Obituary of Leo Tetreault
Leo E. Tetreault, 84 of West Dennis, MA, formerly of Killingly and Brooklyn, died Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis, MA. He was born May 10, 1925 in Astoria, NY, son of the late Leo and Rose Alma (Belisle) Tetreault. Beloved husband of Lavonnie "Bonnie" White Hebert-Tetreault, they were married March 15, 1975 in Killingly.
He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was employed at Rogers Corporation for over 44 years, of which he was president of the Union for 30 of those years. He then became part of the Supervisory and Management Team at Rogers until he retired in 1986. He moved to West Dennis, MA in 1996, a member of Holy Trinity Church in Dennisport, MA. Leo was an avid golfer, was a LA Dodgers and Chicago Bears fan, loved to cook, sing and care for his yard. He collected cars over the years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Lavonnie, he leaves his children: Jean West and her husband Bill of Plainfield; Denise Defusco and her husband Patrick of Brooklyn, Diane Jones and her husband Russell of New Britain, Karen Ann Morrone and her husband David of Westerly, RI; Karen Marie Osborne and her husband Gary of Southbury; Rene George Hebert and his wife Jayne of Brooklyn, Michael Francis Hebert and his wife Ann of Meriden, grandchildren: Trevor; Bill; Amy; Kyle; Trent III; Kevin; Kory; Erica; Jessie; Megan; Nicole; Michael; Mathieu; Christopher; Alexa, great grandchildren: Aidan; Tate; Sophia; Molly; Hayden; Keagan; Breah; Griffin; Brady.
The Funeral service will be Monday at 9:15 am from the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson, followed by a 10:00 am Mass of Christian Burial in St. James Church in Danielson. Calling Hours Sunday, October 18, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors at Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson.
