My handsome Grandpa.
A stable compass of sorts who was always there. On weekly visits "over the river and through the woods" you would usually be in and out of the house. But you were always there: making jokes, napping in your chair, teasing the love of your life and stealing a kiss on the cheek after being "cheeky", singing Oh Gwendolyn to the tune of O Xmas Tree, tying flies for fishing, leaving your cigars in different places.., hair cutting threats with hedge clippers (but never actually doing it), blueberry picking-bringing a 1/2full bucket back to Auntie Sharon's without paying the patch!!; making me feel so proud to have served in the Navy like you did.., still loving your wife after over 60 years of marriage.
Yes, this is long, but not long enough in my opinion. The bond I felt for you will, for me, transcend time.
I love you, I miss you, but know that you, Grandma, Auntie Sharon, Jim, and my Uncle David are never far from my thoughts. You will continue to live with me the rest of my lifetime.

Grandpa!
You were the best! So many wonderful memories. Loved your humor and spirit. I already miss you dearly. My boys both got their hunting license over the past 2 years and I think of you every time they gear up and head out. They would have loved to have gone with you. Say hi to Grandma, Mom and Jimmy! Love you....

Uncle Wally was a wonderful Uncle. He and Aunt Dot never forgot a birthday card. I remember when he gave us some ducks for Amy and my FFA Voag projects when we started high school back in 1974. I always was so happy to see him and Aunt Dot come over for a visit. He was such a happy person all the time, always smiling. My Dad and Mom thought alot of him. Melody and Darin, my heart goes out to you and your family at this loss. I will always remember him with a smile.
