Joe will be missed at Pierce Home. I came here 2ys ago as the food service director, and enjoyed Joe s company so much. Knew him from town and He was a good friend of my Dad's. We had so much to talk about. He was always willing to visit with other residents when they needed a lift. He was the first to welcome new residents. He also said the prayer for us at meals. He was so proud last year when I asked him to do the honors at our Thanksgiving Meal. He printed a prayer out on paper so He would "do a good job" He was also so happy about the way we served the meal. We will all miss him.

I have many fond memories of Joe. Years ago I took care of him at home as his visiting nurse. Joe always had a smile and a story. He had a deep faith in God, and enjoyed sharing his faith with others. Rest in peace Joe.

Joe was a good friend and Brother in the Lord, he will be greatly missed. As a Deacon at The House of Prayer in Thompson for 20 years he gave many people much Godly advice from the Bible. I will fondly remember the many stories of his faith he shared with me. He greatly helped me to understand the passing of my father when I was a young Christian. He often spoke of his desire to be with his Lord...I know his joy is full now.

Joe and my father were friends from childhood until my father passed in 1988. I have fond childhood memories of Joe and my Dad sitting under the shade tree discussing their mutual love of raising game fowl. After Dad passed, Joe and I stayed in touch and soon became close friends. I will miss the time we spent together, the many conversations we had and the wisdom of an older gentleman that he shared with me when I was faced with the challenges of life. Rest in Peace with the Lord my friend.

Joe and my mom both lived at Pierce Memorial home and my husband and I got to know Joe. Had long conversations with him about all kinds of subjects including his passion for birds. And spoke of North Grov. Very nice man. God Bless his family through this time of sadness.
