Although it has been many years since I had seen John, I think of him often. In my living room is a table he made for my mother many years ago. He was a long time family fiend and one to whom I could always talk man to man with whether in the back room of the Elm Market or in the Elm Cafe or in my living room. i will miss you John.

I only had the pleasure of knowing John for about the last year, but he was a wonderful man. Very kind and generous to my fiance, Chris Hebert, and his little boy, Gregory. We will miss helping John with his garden and the hours we spent visiting with him.

Dear Joanne and family:
I remember many good times spent with you, your Mom, your Dad and Johnny. Being upstairs neighbors with you and your family gave us the opportunity to spent many memoriable years together. I cherish them all. I hope that you will be able to draw strength from all of your memories during this difficult time.

Joanne & family: I was so sad to hear of the passing of your Dad. I had many wonderful years being his friend. I remember the English Leather, the smile and the amount of joy he got from his kids. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

I always remember Big John as being generous & fun loving. I remember running & playing with JD in Big John's cornfields & gardens, the corn stand, the barn, skating on his ponds, the time he brought his patients from Mansfield Training Center to his yard, & the time we got to meet John Fitzgerald of the Dallas Cowboys at the Elm Cafe!
I will always remember JD's & Joanne's dad-Big John!!!

What can one say about you John. You were one of a kind. May you rest in peace and save a place for us up there in Heaven. I'm sure it won't be the same in heaven now that both John Sr. and Jr. are there.
