My sincere sympathy to you all...it sure is difficult when you lose a parent no matter how old we are.
May you find comfort in the many memories that you have of your Mom.
I can remember quite a few way back when at Petticoat Pastures.
Sincerly, Janice (Dodge) Alton

I remember many happy times with Florence and her family at Petticoat Pastures and at the home of my parents, Walt and Winnie Davis. Perhaps my favorite memories are of the sewing circle to which Florence and my mother belonged during and after WWII. As I listened from the landing next to my bedroom, the women knitted mittensand sweaters, darned socks, and chatted, after which they always enjoyed a light repast prepared by their hostess. The gatherings left me with a warm, secure feeling.
My mother and Florence often had tea together in later years, catching up on gossip about their families and town affairs. The last time I saw Florence a few years ago we had a delightful chat at the English Tea Room. I am sorry to hear that she is no longer with us.
