I was a friend of Lauries for the past couple years. I met Laurie online playing Poker and we talked alot and that spilled over into Facebook. She always joked about me dropping off ice cream for her - and one time I did - on the way to MA to visit another friend, and I left it in her Mail box and called her as I drove away to let her know it was there - she laughed and didn't believe me until she went out and found it - still in her bathrobe (as she said).
She Always had a smile for her friends. Laurie you will be missed.

I remember all the fun times we use to have as kids, growing up and visiting Aunt Sally's farm and hanging around the barn and swinging from the tire swing hanging from the rafters. I will always cherish the memories we had as cousins and friends.

When I am dead my dear ones
Sing no sad songs for me, Plant no roses at my head nor shady cypress trees. You be the green grass above me and flowers and dew drops wet and if you will remember and if thou will forget. I shall not see the shadows and I shall not feel the rain, I shall not hear the nightengale sing on as if in pain. And dreaming through this wonderland that does not rise or set, Happily I will rememeber and Happily I will forget.

I have not seen Laurie in many years. There was a time when we were very close.
Laurie was a very special person and I know after all the years that have past, she had not changed.
I often thought about her - 'She was the type of friend I always wanted to be'. She never judged, she accepted people for who they were and took the responsibility of being a friend very seriously. She was taken way too early, I believe she was a gift to everyone. I feel honored to have known her for the short time I did.
My parents, sister and I send our thoughts and prayers.

Laurie, I will miss you dearly. You were truly a wonderful friend to all who knew you. I have lots of memories as we spent many days together in our younger years. As high school came upon us, we drifted apart but when we did see each other it was like no time had passed at all. I had seen you right before I moved to Florida 5 years ago and you told me how much you loved Disney and we planned on you visiting. Rest in peace my dear friend, I will miss you! Your an Angel now in the beautiful heavens. We will meet again someday, rest in peace my dear friend. I love you!

When God gave you to me he never said that you were mine, that I could keep you always--only borrowed for a time. Now, He's called you home, I'm sad and I shed tears. Yet, I'm glad He loaned you to me and we had these many years.
So many memories and laughter: I will remember you always..

Sorrow fills my heart as I try to grasp the concept of you being gone. Remembering all the years we spent together from the time we were ten 'til twenty-two. We shared birthday's (u were always five days older than me :)), hardships, scrapes and bruises (some visable, some not), secrets, good times and bad as best friends do. We went on seperate roads when life got in the way. We'd only get together once a year on our birthday, then we'd miss a year or two til we didn't meet at all. Just last week we talked for the first time in years. It was so good to hear from you again. We'd plan to catch up and get together soon. Now how do we recover all the lost time? I guess there isn't "always tomorrow". I can't make sense of it all. I'll miss you. I guess we'll have to wait a bit before we get together again my friend. I'll never forget you. -- My prayers are with you Jen, Dan & family. God must of needed her and her heart of gold.

Remembrance
Remembrance is a golden chain
Death tries to break,
but all in vain.
To have, to love, and then to part
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things
But some they wipe out never.
Like memories of those happy times
When we were all together.

My thoughts are with you now, and I send you my deepest sympathy. May God's Grace strengthen you and know Laurie will never be forgotten. I have included this Indian Prayer for comfort:
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

I worked with Laurie for the last 2 1/2 years. Laurie was one of the first co-workers that I knew. She was so kind, patient and extremely funny. We always talked about Disney, especially her love of Eeyore and Wizard of Oz. Laurie always made me laugh and was just a nice, wonderful person to be around.
