Glenn A. Gavis, 38, of Hubbard Hill Road Danielson, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Plainfield, CT. He was born on September 29, 1974, son of Rosae (Lynn) Zak and the late Richard Gavis, Sr., he passed away in 2006.
G-Dog loved spending his time with Mr. G and Jeffro. Glenn’s entire world was his son Miles. Glenn was an awesome father and loved being with Miles. His passions in life were cooking, biking, playing basketball, fishing, hiking and staying physically fit with Miles and his best friend Jeffro. He previously worked at area casinos and most recently at Zip’s Diner.
He leaves his son Miles R. Gavis, his mother Rosae Zak, his grandmother Catherine Bugbee, his aunt Janet Lynn, his siblings Cleve Blankenship, Jeffrey Blankenship and his wife Shelia, Rosae Marie (Blankenship) and her husband Steve Watrous, Catherine (Blankenship) Nadeau, James Gavis, Richard Gavis, Jr., Matthew Gavis, Lisa Marie Gavis, Leland Zak and his wife Nicole and Keirre Leigh Zak, his best friend Jeffrey M. Davis and many nieces and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by a brother J. Scott Blankenship, he passed away in 2007. Donations may be made in Glenn’s memory to the American Heart Association, P.O. Calling Hours Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Gagnon and Costello Funeral Home, 33 Reynolds Street, Danielson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM in St. John The Apostle Church, 10 Railroad Avenue Plainfield, CT. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Danielson, CT.
