Arlene (Tetreault) Godley
April 16, 1938 - March 24, 2010
Arlene Godley, 71, of Putnam, CT, passed away peacefully at Regency Heights in Danielson after a lengthy illness. Born on the family farm on Green Hollow Road in the Moosup section of Plainfield she was the daughter of the late George & Jeanne (Desjardins) Tetreault. Arlene was raised in Plainfield and attended Plainfield schools until moving to Hartford and working as a telephone operator, later moving back home where she worked energetically raising her only son, "The Sunshine of her life", Glenn Godley and later took much pride working alongside Glenn at "Godley Spirits" & "Mainely Seafood" in Putnam right up to the time of her illness. Arlene will always be remembered for her caring love for all, stern work ethics, persistence of "Good manners", her huge smile and for dedicating her life to her loving son, two grandchildren and her entire family. Arlene is survived and will be greatly missed by her son Glenn & his wife Melissa Godley, grandsons Josh and Travis all of Putnam, her siblings Frances (Frannie) Jernstrom & her husband Roland of Plainfield, Constance (Connie) Maurice of Brooklyn, Claire Gaudreau & her husband James of Rogers, George Tetreault of Danielson, Gene Barriere & his wife Renée of Sterling, many nieces, nephews & cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings Theresa Thompson, Theodore (Teddy) Tetreault, Roger Tetreault and Lucien (Jimmy) Tetreault. Arlene's family would like to thank the administration dept. as well as the staff for the wonderful care she received at Regency Heights during her lengthy stay there. There are no calling hours.
