I’m so blessed to have known Scott. Scott was an exceptional person …a gift to all who knew him. He had a wonderful way of making you feel special and loved whenever you were in his presence. I loved his courage, wit, ‘positivity’, and passion for life. “Life is Good!” I pray for his family and friends who were so dear to him. I miss you, my friend. <3

You left the world too young but the impact you left will go on forever. The smile, the positive attitude on life, and your thoughts for others will always be remembered. You lived life to the fullest the short time you were here with us. Some people live to be ninety and never experience the kind of outlook and joy on life like you did. May you rest in peace. I remember Scott as a student at Woodstock Elementary. He had such a sparkle and light about him, brimming with enthusiasm for life even at a very early age. I haven't seen that quality in many kids in my career, but this is how I remember him. A truly special person who brought much joy in his much-too-short life. My deep sympathies to his parents, Kyle, family, and friends.

Scottie, there are few other things I can think to say but thank you. Thank you for being one of my oldest, truest and best friends. For always putting a smile on my face and giving the best hugs. For pushing me to follow my heart, you were always my biggest supporter. For showing me what it means to love life and never, ever give up. Thank you for giving us the strength to get through this week and all of the difficult times ahead, and thank you for all of the little signs you have sent us to show us that you're still here with us. The lake was the most beautiful it's ever been the other night and I know I have you to thank for that. Thank you for giving me these memories that will last forever. You will be forever missed, I love you.
With love, Caty

Then the child opened its eyes, and looked up into the angel's beautiful face, which beamed with happiness, and at the same moment they were in heaven, where joy and bliss reigned. The child received wings like the other angel, and they flew about together, hand in hand.

The first time I meet you you made my day so much brighter!! You had me try new things I had never eaten before and I normally don't like trying new things but I'm glad I did that day because it was amazing. Our mom is a great cook. You always smiled and made everyone happy! You were an amazing friend to have and so glad I got to know for the short time I did! Love and miss you Scotty

Deepest sympathies to your family and friends. I remember when we were kids and you were always laughing and reaching out to others. There was some kind of innate happiness and generosity that drew people towards you, and we are all better off for that.

Scott,
You have shown courage in the face of tremendous adversity. Although I am sorry to see you go, I am proud that you went the distance and honored to have had you as a cousin and friend. I take solace in knowing you lived a remarkably full life and enjoyed the love of devoted family and caring friends.
I will miss you--deeply--and will not forget you. Thank you for all you have given us, and rest in peace.
Love,

Dear Spalding/Martel family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Scott was an amazing young man and it was an honor and joy to have known him. I will miss his smile and the way we joked with each other. I could go on and on about what a great guy he was but then again you already know that. When the boys were in high school they were at our home quite a bit and Scott always loved the "snack cabinet" at our house. Filled with all the junk food guys love. He would say "XBox and junk food...doesn't get much better than this...life is good!". He lit up a room when he entered it and inspired everyone who met him. He will be greatly missed. I pray for God's comfort to sustain you during this difficult time.
Love you Scotty.
Our deepest sympathy,
Lisa Wood on behalf of the Wood family
