I met Lenny when I was 14 years old. My mother had bought me a keyboard for Christmas and, with it, she got me piano lessons from Lenny. Lenny was a great piano teacher. Each week, he not only taught me chords and theory, but he helped me to believe in myself and my musical abilities. Lenny was a great teacher and a good friend. I have used what he taught me so many times through the years: when I heard a song on the radio or when I wanted to play a certain song in my church choir, I was able to "pick" the music and chords and create something beautiful. Thank you, Lenny, for giving me that gift - I hope you are making music with the angels in heaven now.

Chris and Catherine,
I was shocked and saddened to learn of your dad's death. Your dad always seemed so full of life when he would call me with a question or to share a thought. Your dad was full of ideas and certainly wanted the best for both of you. He was truly one of a kind! I hope that happy memories of your dad will provide you with comfort in the days ahead. Please come back to the middle school if you have the chance.
Sadly,
Mr. Partyka

Had the pleasure of working with Lenny back in the 70's.He could really make that concertina talk and was a great performer. Another musician for the Heaven's Polka Band. I will miss you. When asked about influential musicians of the 70's Lenny would come to mind for his unique concertina stylings...Play on My Friend

I had the pleasure of performing with Lenny Maynard in 1991. He filled in on several gigs with Stas Golonka that year. What a talent he was! He is sorely going to be missed; he left us far too young.
